Hello my Cocktail Faithful,
Happy New Year 2012!
I hope everyone had a stellar month of food and drink and family and are ready to tackle the new year in fine fashion. And only way to start off a proper New Year is with cocktails and a RUM tasting!
For January, I’ve worked up a two-prong attack on the Cocktail Front. For the past few months, I’ve been working on tea-infused concentrates – a colorful concoction of tea blends, spices, herbs, sweeteners and fresh citrus. My local tea shop has a plethora of blends and I mashed together two solid concentrates with a Spiced Chai Blend and an African Rooibos Blend.
The second prong is bringing an educational angle to Foxtrot’s faithful and during the cold days of Winter, the only thing that warms the soul besides Bourbon is RUM! Zacapa Rum is stopping on by during the second hour of the B-PUCH for a solid tasting of the different expressions of their Rum catalog.
